Eintracht Frankfurt considering Metz’s Georges Mikautadze as Randal Kolo Muani replacement

L’Équipe are reporting that Eintracht Frankfrut are considering a move for FC Metz’s Georges Mikautadze (22) in the event of Randal Kolo Muani’s move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Kolo Muani joined Eintracht Frankfurt from FC Nantes on a free transfer last summer, but he could depart the Bundesliga after just one season. PSG have seen a €60m offer rejected, but discussions are ongoing, according to L’Équipe

Should he leave, the German club will have to dip into the market for a replacement, and according to L’Équipe, Mitkautadze features on their shortlist. The Georgian striker is highly coveted. Metz face Clermont Foot on Sunday in what could be Mikautadze’s final match for the club. As well as the interest from Germany, there is also interest from Bologna, who lost Marko Arnautovic to Inter Milan earlier this summer. Lazio are also interested in the Metz forward, who scored in a 2-2 draw against Olympique de Marseille last weekend.

Metz value Mikautadze at €20m, and the Georgian forward has a contract that runs until 2026. However, it is unlikely that he will see that contract out with a departure before next week’s transfer deadline highly likely.
