Rennes predicted XI v Metz: Enzo Le Fée set for first competitive start

Rennes host promoted Ligue 1 side FC Metz at the Roazhon Park this Sunday evening. The Bretons are the overwhelming favourites against the northeastern side, given their ambitions and their remarkable home form this past campaign.

Bruno Genesio’s side won’t be allowed to field both of his marquee signings in Enzo Le Fée and Ludovic Blas – the latter is suspended for receiving too many yellow cards during his Nantes days.

The press-resistant Le Fée is expected to make his first competitive start in front of his new fans. L’Equipe and Ouest-France both report that the former Lorient man will act as the left-sided attacking midfielder in Genesio’s three-man midfield. Skipper Benjamin Bourigeaud is due to play alongside him with Baptiste Santamaria expected to roam deeper as a defensive midfielder. Rennes are due to significantly bolster their midfield options with the imminent signing of AS Roma’s Nemanja Matic

Rennes likely lineup v Metz

Steve Mandanda – Lorenz Assignon, Warmed Omari, Arthur Theate, Jeanuël Belocian – Benjamin Bourigeaud, Baptiste Santamaria, Enzo Le Fée – Désiré Doué, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Amine Gouiri.
