Benjamin Tetteh set for Metz medical ahead of move from Hull

French journalist Patrick Juillard reports this Saturday that newly-promoted Ligue 1 side Metz are closing in on the signing of Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh from Championship side Hull City.

The 26-year-old, who has previously turned out for Standard Liège, Sparta Prague, and Yeni Malatyaspor, is expected to undergo his medical on Monday.

In 15 appearances in the English second-tier, Tetteh has found the net once and registered four assists. Having joined the Tigers last summer, the forward struggled with a hamstring injury, and was unable to make an impact in the little playing time he was afforded.

Tetteh will now become the Lorraine side’s fourth signing of the summer. The László Bölöni-managed team earned promotion back to Ligue 1 at the first time of asking last season, having pipped Bordeaux to the runners-up spot in the second tier on the final day of the season after bouncing back from a poor first half of the campaign.
