Metz set to sign Hull City’s Benjamin Tetteh

Newly-promoted FC Metz are set to sign Hull City forward Benjamin Tetteh (26), according to Patrick JuillardAn agreement has been reached regarding the transfer of the Ghanaian striker, as confirmed by L’Équipe.

Tetteh, a Ghanaian international with seven caps, joined Hull City on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 following the expiry of his contract at Turkish side Malatyaspor. During his time in the Championship with Hull last season, he made 15 appearances, scoring once and registering four assists.

However, his stay on the English east coast may be a short one. According to Juillard, the contact between Metz and Hull is at an advanced stage. An agreement over Tetteh’s transfer has already been agreed and only the finer details need to be sorted before its completion. His signature is therefore imminent.

Metz are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season. The French club bounced back into Ligue 1 at the first time of asking following relegation to the second tier in 2022.
