Olympique de Marseille have been drawn to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Europa League knockout round play-off.
Les Olympiens finished second in Group B behind Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, after losing 1-0 at the Amex Stadium last Thursday. Gennaro Gattuso’s side beat AEK Athens and Ajax in the group on the way to the play-off round.
Gattuso’s side will face the Ukrainian side, who finished third in Champions League Group H behind FC Porto and Barcelona with three wins and three losses on their record
The Europa League knockout play-off round involves the eight runners up from the Europa League group stage against the eight third-placed teams in the Champions League group stage. The winners of these two-legged matches will head to the Europa League round of 16 in March, where they’ll join the eight group winners.
