‘We are informed about the best talents in the world’ – Luís Campos reveals PSG interest in Corinthians’ Gabriel Moscardo

In quotes captured by Fabrizio RomanoPSG’s sporting director Luís Campos has revealed that PSG are interested in signing Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo (18). Chelsea and PSG are both reportedly interested in a move for the young Brazilian ahead of the January transfer window. However, it is only PSG who have made this admission publically and now appear to be ahead in the race for the Brazilian starlet.

Foot Mercato have reported that Corinthians are set to command a fee of €40m for their academy product. This doesn’t appear to have deterred Les Parisiens’ interest in Moscardo. Paris have already had an initial bid of €22m rejected by the Brazilian club for the 18-year-old.

When asked about their interest in Gabriel Moscardo, Campos said “We are informed about the best talents in the world, of course”. A deal for the Corinthians midfielder appears to be far from done though as the former Lille sporting director added, “Nothing has been sealed or signed yet.”

The composition of any potential deal is yet to be unknown too, with Moscardo reaffirming his immediate future will be in Corinthians in a recent interview with local media. Foot Mercato report that a possible transfer could be agreed upon for the Brazilian youth international with a loan-back option until June or December 2024.
