Marseille predicted XI v Strasbourg: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to start on the wing?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could start on the wing for Olympique de Marseille against RC Strasbourg Alsace on Saturday. OM don’t have any fresh injury concerns heading into the fixture, however, they will be without the suspended Samuel Gigot.

Valentin Rongier is the only other major absentee for Marseille. The captain underwent surgery on a knee injury earlier this month and is set for an extended period on the sidelines. His absence could afford more opportunities to Azzedine Ounahi, who has failed to establish himself since his move from SCO Angers last winter. However, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Jordan Veretout are set to start on Saturday as Gennaro Gattuso once again deploys a 4-2-3-1 formation.

With Aubameyang potentially starting out wide, club-record signing Vitinha is set to lead the line against Les Alsaciens.

Marseille likely lineup v Strasbourg

Pau Lopez; Renan Lodi, Leonardo Balerdi, Chancel Mbemba, Jonathan Clauss; Jordan Veretout, Geoffrey Kondogbia; Joaquín Corréa, Amine Harit, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Vitinha.
