Official | Le Havre sign Russian international midfielder Daler Kuzyayev

Le Havre have this morning announced the signing of Russian international midfielder Daler Kuzyayev, who arrives on a free transfer after leaving domestic champions Zenit Saint Petersburg at the end of last season.

The newly-promoted Ligue 1 side have signed the 30-year-old to a two-year contract, with the versatile midfielder making the move to France after spending his entire career in his home country up until now.

The five-time Russian champion had been a regular for Zenit for the last six campaigns after first emerging at Akhmat Grozny. He has earned 46 caps for his national team, notably making five appearances during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He also has experience on the European stage, having played 14 times in the Champions League and accrued 21 Europa League appearances. This past season, Kuzyayev scored five goals and registered four assists in 26 league appearances. He had previously been the subject of interest from Marseille, back when Les Phocéens were managed by André Villas-Boas.
