Lyon predicted XI vs Lille: Alexandre Lacazette to replace Rayan Cherk in attack

Lyon will be looking to make it successive victories for the first time since May when they face Lille in Ligue 1’s late Sunday kick-off. Les Gones finally broke their duck last time out as they defeated Rennes 1-0 to record their first win of the season.

L’Équipe reports that Fabio Grosso should reinstate his captain Alexandre Lacazette to the starting lineup for the match against Les Dogues. The former Arsenal striker was dropped to the bench for OL’s match against Rennes. This is likely to see Rayan Cherki drop to the bench. Ernest Nuamah and Mama Baldé should keep their places in attack on either side of the former France international.

Fabio Grosso is expected to change formation too, preferring a three at the back compared to the 4 at the back which was successful against Rennes. This should see Clinton Mata return to the starting eleven to form a back three with the duo of Jake O’Brien and Sinaly Diomandé. Nicolás Tagliafico is expected to be replaced by Henrique.

Lyon will be without Corentin Tolisso and Johan Lepennant in midfield as both miss out with injury. Therefore, Maxence Caqueret and Mahamadou Diawara should form a double pivot in the middle for Lyon.

Lyon likely XI vs Lille:

Antony Lopes – Clinton Mata, Sinaly Diomandé, Jake O’Brien – Saël Kumbedi, Mahamadou Diawara, Maxence Caqueret, Henrique – Ernest Nuamah, Alexandre Lacazette, Mama Baldé
