Game of the week: OGC Nice v RC Lens, Wednesday 20:00 (UK)

All 18 teams play at once on Wednesday night as Ligue 1 football draws to a close for 2023. Nice versus Lens is the standout fixture. After a disastrous start to the season, Franck Haise’s side have shot up the table. Should Lens beat Nice on Wednesday, they would be just three points behind Francesco Farioli’s side. Elsewhere, PSG face Metz. The former are already guaranteed to be top of the table come 2024, but with Nice and Monaco both struggling for form in recent weeks, this is a great opportunity for Les Parisiens to create an unassailable lead. It could also be a decisive weekend at the bottom of the table as Rennes take on Clermont Foot. Julien Stéphan’s side are an unlikely candidate for relegation this season and a defeat against Clermont will drop them deeper into their ongoing crisis.

Raphaël’s full predictions:

  • Clermont 1-1 Rennes
  • Montpellier 0-2 Marseille
  • Brest 2-1 Lorient
  • PSG 3-0 Metz
  • Toulouse 2-2 Monaco
  • Lyon 2-1 Nantes
  • Reims 1-2 Le Havre
  • Strasbourg 2-2 Lille
  • Nice 1-1 Lens
