Montpellier are set to sign Peruvian U20’s starlet Jean Deza from local side San Martin in the next 48 hours we understand.
The 2011-2012 Ligue 1 champions agreed to sign the attacker already last week but work permit problems have so far got in the way of the move.
This is perhaps why when Montpellier manager Jean Fernandez was quizzed on the matter he replied: ‘nothing is done’.
The player however announced on his official Facebook page that he was looking forward to joining the Ligue 1 side imminently.
‘In a few days I will be travelling to France to sign for a team called Montpellier. I am grateful for their interest in me!’
