West Ham’s Saïd Benrahma tempted by Lyon move

West Ham United winger Saïd Benrahma (28) is tempted by a move to Ligue 1 strugglers Olympique Lyonnais, according to a report from L’Équipe

Lyon’s interest in the Algerian winger was first reported by L’Équipe earlier this month. After being given the green light to recruit in January, OL are looking to spend up to €50m, and Benrahma was quickly identified as a key target. The club have been in contact with the player’s entourage, and according to L’Équipe, Benrahma would be tempted by a move to the Groupama Stadium.

Nayef Aguerd unlikely to join Lyon

Lyon are targeting another winger in January, and the club are closely following Almeria’s Largie Ramazani (22), who was the subject of multiple offers from OL in the summer.

The Ligue 1 club are also in the market for a centre–back and had targeted Benrahma’s West Ham teammate Nayef Aguerd (27), however, it is now thought to be very unlikely that Lyon will be able to pull off the signing of the Moroccan international. Other targets are now being explored in this position.
