Ethan Mbappé in discussions over first PSG pro contract

According to L’ÉquipeEthan Mbappé (16) is in discussions over signing his first professional contract at Paris Saint Germain.

Mbappé made his debut for PSG during a 3-1 victory over FC Metz on 20th December. The midfielder replaced Manuel Ugarte in the 92nd minute in what was a special evening for the Mbappé family. His brother, Kylian Mbappé, netted a brace on his 25th birthday with the victory securing Les Parisiens’ top spot in Ligue 1 heading into the winter break.

Ethan Mbappé is not yet signed up to a pro contract, and his intern contract expires at the end of the season. Whilst his brother, whose contract also expires at the end of the season, could leave the Parc des Princes, Ethan is in talks to stay, as per a report from L’Équipe.

Kylian’s vague contract situation creates a strange context in negotiations over Ethan’s first professional deal, but the latter has displayed a strong attachment to his formative club and a desire to stay. Negotiations between PSG and Ethan Mbappé’s entourage are “open”
