Real Madrid look to put an end to the Kylian Mbappé saga in January

AS report that Real Madrid will look to end their long-running pursuit of Kylian Mbappé (24) with a final offer to the player in January.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward’s contract is set to expire this summer meaning that from January clubs will be allowed to contact the player directly and attempt to convince him to join their team in a free transfer once his current contract finishes.

Los Blancos are keen to avoid the mistakes of the past and allow this chase to drag on any further than necessary so will put forward an offer to Mbappé on the first of January with a strict time condition attached.

Mbappé will have 15 days to respond to the offer, and if he fails to do so then Real Madrid will consider the matter closed and will look instead to alternatives. Namely, they will attempt to coax Erling Haaland (23) from Manchester City. If what AS suggests is true then it seems that the Mbappé to Madrid story might finally find its conclusion early in 2024.
