Lens’ Kevin Danso fit to face Arsenal

Kevin Danso (25) missed RC Lens’ victory over Clermont Foot on Saturday as a precaution, however, he is fit to return to face Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Austrian international was suffering from a bruised foot and despite being part of the travelling group to face Clermont Foot, he ultimately did not feature. His presence to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday was therefore in doubt, however, as reported by L’Équipe, the club’s medical staff are not concerned about the centre-back’s fitness.

However, there is uncertainty surrounding Morgan Guilavogui’s participation. The striker left the pitch on Saturday on a stretcher and left the stadium on crutches, however, he is only suffering from a lower back strain. The severity of the injury will be ascertained on Monday. Deiver Machado also missed the trip to the Stade Gabriel Montpied due to an adductor injury, suffered whilst on international duty. He is also a doubt to face the Gunners in Wednesday’s Champions League encounter.
