OGC Nice’s Khéphren Thuram suffers knee injury

Francesco Farioli has revealed that Khéphren Thuram (22) has suffered a knee injury and will therefore miss OGC Nice’s match against Stade de Reims on Sunday. The France international will undergo further tests in order to ascertain his period of absence.

Thuram suffered an injury to his right knee during training this week and the midfielder will undergo an MRI in order to understand the gravity of the injury sustained. “We hope that his injury is not too serious so that he can quickly return,” said the Italian manager in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News. He added, “I hope [he features again this calendar year] but we have to respect the test results that we receive.”

Badredine Bouanani, Sofiane Diop and Antoine Mendy also out versus Reims

Nice will also be without Badredine Bouanani, who has suffered an ankle sprain. It is therefore unlikely that he will feature again for Les Aiglons before the winter break later this month. Antoine Mendy is also out with an eye injury, whilst Sofiane Diop, who has a fractured metatarsal, is a more long-term absence.
