Following his red card against Panathinaikos, Jeanuël Belocian will be suspended for Stade Rennais’ visit to Maccabi Haifa on Thursday night.
Despite the 18-year-old’s sending-off in the last round of matches, Rennes beat Panathinaikos 3-1, setting them up to qualify from their group. Les Rennais will be guaranteed a playoff spot should they beat Maccabi Haifa, or if they draw and Panathinaikos fail to beat Villareal.
Bar Belocian, Julien Stéphan has a full squad at his disposal. As he did against Stade de Reims, the new manager is expected to deploy his side in a 3-4-3, however, changes are expected. Benjamin Bourigeaud and Arnaud Kalimuendo could be amongst the players to drop to the bench, whilst Amine Gouiri could also make way for Ludovic Blas.
