Ligue 1 clubs lining up to sign Ajaccio’s Yanis Cimignani

AC Ajaccio midfielder Yanis Cimignani’s (20) contract is set to expire at the end of the season, which is alerting Montpellier, FC Nantes and Toulouse, who are interested in securing a free transfer, according to L’Équipe

Cimignani’s contract expires at the end of June, and as things stand, the France U20 international has no plans to extend his deal. As a result of that decision, Cimignani is no longer featuring for the Corsican club. During Ajaccio’s promotion season, the midfielder featured 34 times in Ligue 2, but hasn’t played for the club since the match against ESTAC Troyes on 16th October.

Discussions over an extension have hit a dead end, and Cimignani is looking for a route out of the club, perhaps as soon as this month. Montpellier, Nantes and Toulouse are all keen on signing the player on a free, whilst he is also attracting attention from abroad. Cimignani favours a move during this transfer window.
