Luis Enrique’s arrival as PSG manager delayed

Contradictory to earlier reports from Le Parisien, L’Équipe are reporting that Luis Enrique’s arrival in the dugout at Paris Saint-Germain won’t be officialised until July.

Le Parisien had reported earlier this week that Enrique’s arrival would be confirmed this week, most probably on Wednesday. However, L’Équipe believe that his arrival won’t be confirmed until Saturday 1st July at the earliest. The most likely scenario is that he will be confirmed in the dugout at the Parc des Princes next week.

It is thought that the delay is in large part due to the fact that Christophe Galtier it yet to officially leave PSG. At the time of writing, there is no agreement with the former Lille OSC and OGC Nice manager to leave the club, and the Frenchman’s entourage have been reiterating this fact.

Whilst the managerial situation remains unresolved, as does the date for the return for pre-season. The player’s were initially meant to return on Tuesday 4th July, but this date has changed multiple times. Internal sources now believe that the start of PSG’s pre-season will be 10th July.
