Khéphren Thuram has not agreed terms with Liverpool yet, but is getting closer

As reported by our colleagues at Sports Zone and confirmed by sources contacted by Get French Football News, talks continue between Premier League side Liverpool and French international midfielder Khéphren Thuram over finding a provisional agreement on personal terms ahead of a possible summer transfer to the Europa League-playing club next season from OGC Nice.

LFC have demonstrated themselves to be very convincing in the eyes of the 22-year-old and a number of steps forward in terms of talks have been made this week.

Although Thuram is a player who is much liked by Sporting Advisor to PSG, Luís Campos, Les Parisiens are not interested in pursuing the midfielder this summer.

Liverpool have had initial contact with OGC Nice to understand the INEOS-owned club’s demands in the event that they were open to selling the player this summer.

Two initial meetings have occurred and both were fundamentally negative for Liverpool, with Les Aiglons currently showing little to no interest in meaningfully engaging in negotiations. This could however change, especially should the player formally ask the Ligue 1 side to facilitate a move for him to the Reds – something that Thuram is yet to do.
