Burnley target Troyes forward Mama Baldé

Premier League-bound Burnley are eyeing up the signing of Troyes forward Mama Baldé (27), according to a report from L’Équipe this afternoon. The Guinea-Bissau international is set to leave the City Football Group-owned outfit, who have been relegated back to Ligue 2 after going winless since the start of January.

Baldé was Troyes‘ most potent attacking player with twelve goals and four assists in 33 Ligue 1 games played with the 18th-placed Aube side. The outlet reports that the Clarets were already targeting Baldé during last winter’s transfer window. The forward is tied with Troyes over a contract set to expire in 2025.

The outlet adds that Baldé is among the priority signings for the Vincent Kompany-led side to bolster their attacking options for next season’s Premier League campaign. Talks have reportedly occurred between the player and the former Manchester City skipper. Baldé is expected to say his farewell to Troyes next Saturday for the final home game of the Ligue 1 season against Lille.
