Mathys Tel will not join Eintracht Frankfurt as Randal Kolo Muani’s replacement

According to Le Parisien’s Benjamin QuarezMathys Tel (19) will not join Eintracht Frankfurt from Bayern Munich before the close of the summer transfer window. Despite reports that Frankfurt were looking to sign the young French forward, he wants to stay with the Bundesliga champions.

Reports were linking Frankfurt with a move for the French U21 international as they look to sign a replacement for Randal Kolo Muani (24), who is expected to join PSG on deadline day. The Bundesliga club had sent a third offer to Hugo Ekitiké (21), in search of a replacement for Kolo Muani, but the former Nantes forward has rejected the opportunity to join the club in favour of a move to the Premier League, according to Sports Zone. West Ham United and Crystal Palace are both reportedly interested in Ekitiké.

With the former Rennes striker set to remain in Munich, Frankfurt’s search for a replacement for Kolo Muani will continue. With Fabrizio Romano reporting that the French international’s move to PSG is dependent on Frankfurt signing a replacement, there could yet be another twist in the 24-year-old’s transfer saga.
