Saint-Etienne striker Jean-Philippe Krasso to join Red Star Belgrade

Saint-Etienne striker Jean-Philippe Krasso (25) is close to sealing a move to Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade, according to a report from L’Équipe. The Ivory Coast international is a free agent after delivering a prolific season with Les Verts, registering 17 goals and 12 assists, contributing to the team’s uptick in form after an initially difficult start to the campaign following their relegation from Ligue 1.

His form earned him a spot in the UNFP’s Ligue 2 Team of the Year. The former Lorient youth product has reportedly struck a deal with Red Star Belgrade over a three-year or four-year contract.

The Serbian outfit will be playing next season’s Champions League group stage after completing the double last season. Crvena Zvezda ended their season unbeaten with 30 wins and 7 draws. It will be Krasso’s first playing experience abroad. L’Équipe add that Red Star Belgrade have promised the Saint-Etienne striker a lucrative signing bonus.
