According to Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain has changed its usual routine for the upcoming Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The team will fly to Munich more than 48 hours before the match, breaking its habit of doing the final training session at Camp des Loges and only flying to the away European game on the eve of the match.
This new arrangement is due to the ongoing strikes in France, which the club from the French capital wants to avoid. The team has not stayed long at any of its European away game locations since manager Christophe Galtier and sporting director Luis Campos took over at the end of last summer. They prefer to train tactically at the privacy of Camp des Loges rather than on the match’s pitch. PSG trained at home before flying to Haifa, Lisbon, and Turin for their group stage matches.
The Parisians, fresh from a 4-2 win over Nantes and a superstar performance from Kylian Mbappé, will have their first training session on Monday afternoon at Camp des Loges. Afterward, the team will fly to Munich and stay at the Hilton Park Hotel, ten kilometers away from Allianz Arena, for two nights. The entire squad will have a chance to explore the stadium before the match. Galtier and one of the players will attend the pre-match press conference at 5:15 pm, followed by PSG’s last training session one hour later.
