Nantes change direction on Youssouf M’Changama

Sébastien Denis is reporting that Nantes are set to make a dramatic u-turn and pull out of a deal for free agent Youssouf M’Changama (31).

It had earlier been reported that the free agent, who last season shone for EA Guingamp, scoring 9 goals and registering 15 assists for the Ligue 2 side, was set to join Antoine Kombouaré’s men.

However, Denis is now reporting that the Coupe de France champions have had a change of heart. All that was left to complete the deal was a medical and the official signing of the contract, but now there is a “strong chance” that he won’t sign at all.

According to an internal source at the club, the recruitment department has “signaled doubts” about the Comoros international to Kombouaré, who is no longer convinced about the deal.

Consequently, unless there is an “incredible change in situation” Nantes will not sign M’Changama, who registered the second-largest total of assists in Ligue 2 last season.
