Burnley’s Wilson Odobert offer accepted by Troyes

Foot Mercato are reporting that Burnley have had an offer for Wilson Odobert (20) accepted by ESTAC Troyes. The value of the offer is thought to be around €11m.

Despite Troyes’ struggles in Ligue 1 last season, Odobert had an impressive campaign, scoring seven goals and registering two assists in all competitions. Troyes were relegated at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, but Odobert won’t be joining them in France’s second division, according to Foot Mercato.

Despite having four years remaining on his contract with the Aubois club, Odobert looks set to join newly-promoted Burnley. The Lancashire club’s offer has been accepted by Troyes, who form part of the City group. Odobert’s arrival would be in fitting with the Premier League side’s strategy, outlined by Goal this morning. The publication reported that Burnley were in the market for promising French talent, and have also submitted an offer for Sacha Boey (22). The French right-back currently plays for Galatasaray in Turkey.
