Ousmane Dembélé on the France national team: “I think it’s the best team I’ve played in.”

Speaking to TéléfootOusmane Dembélé (26) spoke about the current level of the France national team, revealing that he believes it is the best team that he has ever played in.

This summer, Dembélé made the move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. The former Borussia Dortmund winger is now playing with Kylian Mbappé at club level, whilst Randal Kolo Muani also joined just before the transfer deadline. The former FC Nantes forward is yet to feature for Les Parisiens since his big-money move from Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, with Olivier Giroud returning to Milan after sustaining an ankle injury in a Euro 2024 qualifier victory over the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, PSG’s front three could all start against Germany on Tuesday. In an interview with Téléfoot, Dembélé, a World Cup winner with Les Bleus in 2018, was asked whether he believes that the current incarnation of the France national team is the best team he has played in, to which he replied, “I think that it’s the best team I’ve played in. The team has backup in every position with players with a lot of quality that play in the best teams in the world. There is a lot of competition, but it’s a good thing and it pushes everyone to the maximum.”
