PSG submit €50m bid for Manchester United target Rasmus Højlund

L’Équipe are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have submitted a €50m bid for Atalanta forward Rasmus Højlund (20), and are awaiting the Serie A side’s response.

The French publication reported last week that PSG had opened talks to sign the Danish international. Those discussions have now yielded a bid of €50m. Les Parisiens don’t want to go any higher for the 20-year-old forward and are awaiting Atalanta’s response.

However, PSG aren’t the only interested party. According to The Athletic, Manchester United have also submitted a bid for Højlund, who only joined Atalanta for just €17m from Sturm Graz last summer. The Red Devils’ bid is more lucrative than PSG’s. According to The Athletic’s reporting, Manchester United’s bid is worth €50m plus €10 in bonuses.

Should PSG’s bid be rejected, the Ligue 1 champions will be forced to continue their search for a number nine. Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane remains a top target for Les Parisiens.
