Kylian Mbappé says he is “very, very well” amidst ongoing transfer speculation

The eyes of the footballing world are on Kylian Mbappé (24) amidst an ongoing transfer saga, which could see him depart Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but the pressure isn’t getting to the France captain, who was calm when questioned about his mental state on Tuesday.

Whilst his teammates are on the other side of the world on a pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, Mbappé remains in Paris, where he is training with the “lofters” at PSG’s training centre. The France captain is the subject of intense speculation with PSG keen to cash in on Mbappé, rather than lose him on a free next summer.

Al Hilal have submitted a world-record €300m bid for Mbappé, which has been accepted by PSG. According to Fabrizio Romano, a Saudi delegation has arrived in Paris to discuss the highly lucrative proposition with the PSG forward. The Gulf State are proposing a one-year deal, and it is thought, both within the club and the media, that Mbappé has a pre-contract agreement in place to join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.

However, amidst the deafening noise surrounding the AS Monaco academy product’s future, Mbappé is seemingly calm. The Frenchman met with fans at the end of a training session yesterday, posing for selfies and signing autographs. Asked by Le Parisien how he is feeling, Mbappé replied, “I am very, very well.”
