Strasbourg enter race for Sochaux midfielder Rassoul Ndiaye

As reported by L’Équipe, several clubs from across the continent have registered their interest in Sochaux midfielder Rassoul Ndiaye, with Strasbourg that latest to join Ligue 1 Toulouse and Brest in looking to sign the 20-year-old who is under contract with second tier Sochaux until 2024.

With an estimated value of €2m, a promoted Italian club and a Belgian top flight side as well as Strasbourg are all keen to sign the young midfielder who has played 61 Ligue 2 matches already in his career, but the player could yet be swayed to remain with FCSM as the club continues to make impressive strides in the summer transfer window.

Brest and newly-promoted Toulouse have both made formal enquiries for the player, while Brest have made the signing of a number six their priority during this summer transfer window.

Les Lionceaux finished in the play-off places in Ligue 2 last season, but lost their coach Omar Daf, replacing him with Ligue 2 veteran boss Olivier Guegan.
