Bursaspor to miss out on Carrasso

Bordeaux’s keeper Cedric Carrasso did look set on a move to Turkish side Bursaspor, but the deal has broken down at the last moment it now appears.

Carrasso had agreed personal terms with the Turkish side after he had openly discussed a move away from Bordeaux for some time. A fee had not been agreed, however, as Bordeaux wanted to find a replacement for the goalkeeper before letting him go. It now appears, however, that Bordeaux are intent on keeping Carrasso as their man between the sticks and so have offered him a new and improved deal which according to French press, he is set to sign in the near future. President Triaud claimed that the club would offer Carrasso ‘Something that motivates him’.

He is expected to extend until 2016.
