Nantes interested in Marseille’s Luis Henrique

RMC Sport report this morning that Nantes are looking to sign Marseille forward Luis Henrique this summer, but face competition from abroad as Italian clubs, in particular Torino, also look to bring in the Brazilian.

The 20-year-old signed from Botafogo two years ago but has struggled to make an impact at OM, scoring just the one goal in his 49 appearances, albeit registering eight assists. As a result, the winger could be on the move this summer.

Les Canaris have already entered talks for his signing, as they look to strengthen the squad ahead of next year’s Europa League campaign and having all but wrapped up the signing of former French internatinoal midfielder Moussa Sissoko already.

Globo Esporte have indicated that PSV Eindhoven are also in the race, but the player himself is prioritising staying in Ligue 1 and has made Nantes his preferred destination.

Manager Antoine Kombouaré is said to have spoken with the player’s team. A move is expected to be completed by the end of the week, although whether it will consist of a loan deal or a permanent transfer remains to be seen.
