According to L’Équipe defender Julien Le Cardinal is close to signing for RC Lens from Paris FC – both the player and the club have reached an agreement over personal terms. In terms of the two clubs, they are not yet in total agreement over a move but both sides are looking to complete a deal in the region of around €3m.
Lens want an agreement to be concluded as soon as possible, as they are looking for a replacement for the injured summer-signing Jimmy Cabot, who made 11 appearances and provided one assist before an ACL injury which has ruled him out for several months.
Le Cardinal joined Paris FC from SC Bastia in the summer, and has since made 12 appearances for the Parisian side which has struggled to compete for promotion to Ligue 1 this season, currently sitting 9th with 20 points after playing 14 matches.
