Manchester United on the verge of Wout Weghorst loan move

According to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, Manchester United are making significant progress on a deal for striker Wout Weghorst, who was loaned to the Turkish club Besiktas from Burnley following their relegation to the EFL Championship.

The Dutchman, whose profile is appreciated by United manager Erik Ten Hag is expected to move to the Premier League side in a loan deal, which has reportedly almost been fully agreed between the various parties. The final details of the move are set to be finalised relatively quickly. Fabrizio Romano indicates that a €10m permanent option will be included in the deal.

Weghorst has been playing in the Super Lïg this season, and scored again last Saturday for his tenth goal this season, adding to his four assists in 21 appearances for the Turkish club. The Red Devils were looking for a short term option until the end of the season, with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Suadi-club Al-Nassr following the termination of his contract.
