Pierre-Marie Geronimi, the President of SC Bastia has confirmed he will work with attacking midfielder Wahbi Khazri to fulfil the player’s wishes of leaving the Corsican side this summer. Speaking today, he had the following to say on the matter:
‘Khazri has alerted us of his interest to leave the club. We respect that. However, for the moment, Saint Etienne’s offer does not satisfy us. He had a good 2012-2013 season. Also, we must think about replacing him and that creates a difficulty. As we look at the market currently, it is going to be a hard task.’
Wahbi Khazri’s frustrations were clear today, using social-networking platform Twitter to explain his feelings:
‘Respect! Confidence! Commitment! Words that to some these days do not mean anything!’
The player is also wanted by Italian side Parma and has even visited the club’s facilities.
