PSG-Milan: Lucas Hernandez reveals brother Théo ‘looking for revenge’

Lucas Hernandez (27) faces brother (26) for the second time in a fortnight when Paris Saint-Germain meet AC Milan at the San Siro in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

PSG won the first game between the two sides on 25th October. Kylian Mbappé, Randal Kolo Muani and Kang-in Lee all got on the scoresheet at the Parc des Princes as Les Parisiens strolled to a comfortable victory. PSG are therefore top of Group F with six points, whilst AC Milan, who are currently bottom with just two points, are desperately in need of a win on Tuesday.

Lucas Hernandez on facing brother Théo: ‘It was full of strong emotion.’

Whilst it is an important match in PSG’s and Milan’s respective European campaigns, it is also a particularly special night for the Hernandez brothers, who are teammates at international level, but who will once again be on opposing sides on Tuesday.  In an interview with Le ParisienLucas spoke about facing his brother for the first time.

It was full of strong emotions, especially for my family, who were at the stadium. It was a unique moment for us. It was the first time we had played against each other, but on the pitch, you don’t realise. I wasn’t telling myself that I was playing against my brother. It was more before the match that we spoke a bit and then we debriefed the match a bit after,” said Lucas Hernandez.

On the upcoming return match, he added, “Of course, he is looking for revenge, but it is up to us to do the job there. Is there some teasing? A bit, but it’s all good-natured.”
