Randal Kolo Muani: “It’s my dream to play for the big clubs.”

In the wake of a career-best debut season with Eintracht Frankfurt – 21 goals and 17 assists in all competitions – France forward Randal Kolo Muani has no shortage of potential suitors among the continent’s major teams.

The former Nantes man is reportedly on Paris Saint-Germain’s shortlist for a swift return to Ligue 1. At today’s press conference while on France duty, Kolo Muani was asked about the prospect of moving on this summer, notably amid interest from the French champions:

“Honestly, I want to keep improving and working hard. It’s my dream to play for the big clubs – why not, but right now it’s off-topic, I’m with the national team. We have two important matches [against Gibraltar and then Greece]. The transfer window has just started, we’ll see all of that when the international break is over.”

The Bondy native’s performances this season saw him called up to the senior French squad for the September 2022 internationals. He scored in the semi-final against Morocco, and then came within inches of scoring the winner in the final against Argentina – only to be denied by a sensational save from Emiliano Martínez. Earlier this month, he had committed his future to the Bundesliga side, notably pointing out that he had a five-year contract.
