Fabian Ruiz set to miss Dortmund game after suffering should injury

According to Le Parisien, PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz (27) will miss his team’s decisive Champions League fixture away to Borussia Dortmund, after dislocating his shoulder in last weekend’s Ligue 1 game against Le Havre.

Luis Enrique will therefore have to do without two of his key midfielders, as star youngster Warren-Zaïre Emery (17) will also be missing due to his ankle injury, which he suffered during the international break. A difficult situation ahead of a crucial game, which will decide whether or not the Parisians will move onto the next rounds of the competition.

Ruiz has been in good form this season, after an underwhelming first year at the club, having found a more balanced role in the PSG midfield, serving as a safe point for his team when trying to retain possession against the opposition press. The Spaniard has played a total of 16 games in all competitions this season, scoring one goal and giving two assists.

He will also miss Paris’ next Ligue 1 game against FC Nantes, who have just given OGC Nice their first defeat of the season, next Saturday.
