Marseille predicted XI v Ajax: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to return to lineup

After being dropped for Saturday’s draw against RC Strasbourg Alsace, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to return to the starting lineup for Olympique de Marseille when they face Ajax on Thursday night.

OM don’t have any injury fresh concerns ahead of the Europa League clash. Valentin Rongier is the only major absentee. The captain is out for several weeks after undergoing an operation on a serious injury. Gennaro Gattuso therefore has a wealth of choice in many positions, and he is expected to rotate his lineup after a disappointing draw against Strasbourg over the weekend.

The Italian manager was highly critical of his players for the first time since his arrival. Players such as Leonardo Balerdi, Ronan Lodi, Iliman Ndiaye and Vitinha could all make way.

Marseille likely lineup v Ajax

Pau Lopez; Michael Amir Murillo, Samuel Gigot, Chancel Mbemba, Jonathan Clauss; Geoffrey Kondogbia, Jordan Veretout; Joaquin Correa, Amine Harit, Ismaila Sarr; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. (L’Éq)
