Marseille predicted XI v AEK Athens: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Valentin Roniger and Azzedine Ounahi out

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Valentin Rongier and Azzedine Ounahi are all out of Olympique de Marseille’s Europa League clash against AEK Athens on Thursday evening.

All three players have been left out of the squad to face the Greek side as OM look to retain their place atop Group B. Gennaro Gattuso’s side beat AEK Athens in the first meeting between the pair in late October (3-1). However, they will be without some key figures.

Aubameyang has been an ever-present up-front, but he will be replaced by Vitinha. Ounahi is not a guaranteed starter but captain Rongier has featured prominently for Les Phocéens. Geoffrey Kondogbia and Jordan Veretout will start in midfield with Amine Harit playing in a slightly more advanced and slightly freer role.

Marseille likely lineup v AEK Athens

Pau Lopez; Renan Lodi, Chancel Mbemba, Samuel Gigot, Jonathan Clauss; Geoffrey Kondogbia, Jordan Veretout, Amine Harit; Joaquin Correa, Vitinha, Iliman Ndiaye. (L’Éq)
