Nice predicted XI v Basel: Nicolas Pépé ruled out through injury

OGC Nice are France’s last man standing in European competition this season, and they face Swiss side FC Basel on Thursday in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Didier Digard is notably suffering from a shortage of right-backs for the tie with Jordan Lotomba certainly out and Antoine Mendy a doubt after coming off hurt against Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend. Pablo Rosario is expected to deputise.

Nicolas Pépé, who made his return from a knee injury in mid-March is once again absent with another knee injury. He adds to a long line of absentees. Youcef Atal, Mattia Viti, Alexis Beka Beka and Sofiane Diop, as well as Lotomba will all miss Thursday’s trip to Switzerland. Ross Barkley isn’t registered in Les Aiglons’ Conference League squad and is therefore ineligible to feature.

Nice likely lineup v Basel

Kasper Schmeichel – Melvin Bard, Dante, Jean-Clair Todibo, Pablo Rosario – Hicham Boudaoui, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, Aaron Ramsey – Khéohren Thuram, Terem Moffi, Gaëtan Laborde.
