Game of the week: Paris Saint-Germain v RC Lens, Saturday 20:00 (UK)
Lens finished just one point behind eventual champions PSG last season, and the two meet on Saturday. Both sides traded 3-1 victories last season, but if Luis Enrique’s first two matches are anything to go by, this will be a more low-scoring affair. Both sides will be desperate for their first wins as they look to kickstart their respective seasons. The matchday kicks off with Nantes facing Monaco at the Beaujoire. Defeat for the former could put pay to Pierre Aristouy’s reign as manager, whilst the latter will be looking to retain their place at the top of Ligue 1 with a third victory on the bounce. Another manager hanging by a thread is Laurent Blanc. Lyon are in crisis and they face a tricky tie against Nice on Sunday night, Francesco Farioli is still looking for his first victory as manager of Les Aiglons.
