Nice make offer for Atalanta’s Jérémie Boga

After weeks of silence, OGC Nice’s transfer window has burst into life in the past hours. Foot Mercato are now reporting that Les Aiglons have made an offer for Atalanta winger Jérémie Boga (26).

Get French Football News can confirm that talks between Atalanta and Nice over a move for Boga are ongoing. Foot Mercato believe that Le Gym have launched a €14m bid for the Ivorian winger, whilst the player himself has already agreed to a move to Nice, where he would link up with Francesco Farioli. The pair worked together at Sassuolo. Talks are ongoing in order to finalise the deal.

Nice are looking to add offensive reinforcements following Nicolas Pépé’s return to Arsenal. The Ivorian international largely disappointed during his season-long loan at the Riviera club.

Nice are currently the only Ligue 1 club not to make a signing in this summer transfer window, but Morgan Sanson’s arrival, on loan from Aston Villa, is set to be confirmed later today. Les Aiglons are also looking to bring Leicester City’s Ricardo Pereira back to the club. Nice are wanting a loan, although the Foxes want a permanent deal. Nice-Matin reported earlier this month that Nice began the summer with a budget of just €15m. The signing of Boga for the reported €14m fee would therefore represent a considerable investment from Nice.
