Juventus want to sign Arsenal’s Thomas Partey on loan

According to Foot MercatoJuventus are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey (30) on loan during the January transfer window.

Partey’s minutes at Arsenal have been limited so far this season. He has played just 341 minutes in all competitions and he hasn’t featured since mid-October. He is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, but may not feature for the Gunners until the end of the calendar year.

According to Foot Mercato, Juventus are trying to convince Partey to join the club in January. The Turin-based club’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli recently travelled to London to speak to the Ghanaian international midfielder in order to discuss the prospective loan move.

Whilst Juventus are engaged in attempts to sign the Arsenal midfielder, the club are also looking to hone in on other targets, notably Piotr Zielinski and Dominico Berardi. Massimiliano Allegri is looking to strengthen in January as he looks to challenge Inter Milan for the title. Juventus are currently in second, two points behind the league leaders.
