Rennes wish to appoint Arsène Wenger as their new president

Ligue 1 club Rennes’ owners François Pinault and François-Henri Pinault (father and son) are dreaming of bringing in 70-year-old FIFA Head of World Football Development Arsène Wenger as their new president after sacking Olivier Létang, according to L’Équipe.

The outlet claims that Wenger would be interested at the very least to listen to the proposal on offer. He has of course never experienced a similar role in the footballing scene before.
