Paris FC to allow free entry to fans for all Ligue 2 & Women’s for the rest of the season

Announced in a club communiqué today, fans of Ligue 2 side Paris FC will be able to see their side for free for the rest of the season, announcing that the club will have free entry to all Ligue 2 and Women’s first division matches at Stade Charléty for the rest of the season.

Whilst Fortuna Dusseldorf made several matches free admission in the Bundesliga 2, Paris FC will become the first club to launch an initiative which will last for the rest of the season.

“This is a major first for a professional football club in Europe and indeed the world. Although a free-seat model was recently launched in Germany, it only concerns a limited number of seats in the stadium, and is not deployed for all matches, including those of the women’s team,” the Parisian club said in a press release announcing the new measure.

The side from the French capital are currently sat 16th in Ligue 2 after 12 games, and face an away trip to high-flying Saint-Étienne tomorrow (15:00).
