Jude Bellingham wins Kopa Trophy

England and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham (20) has won the Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best player under the age of 21.

Bellingham has won the 2023 Kopa Trophy, presented by France Football, and has succeeded Gavi, who won the trophy last year. The Englishman has seen a meteoric rise this year, consolidating his place in the England midfield and securing a big-money move to Real Madrid. Since securing his move to the La Liga club in the summer, he has since scored 13 goals in 13 games.

Eduardo Camavinga 4th, Elye Wahi 10th

Bellingham was awarded the trophy during Monday night’s ceremony in Paris. Eden Hazard, who announced his retirement from football earlier this month, handed the trophy to the former Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund midfielder. “To win this trophy means a lot, but to me, the most important thing is collective trophies. It’s important that I try to kick on and help Real Madrid and England win trophies for many years,” said Bellingham upon receipt of the trophy.

Jamal Musiala finished second, ahead of Pedri in third. France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga finished fourth ahead of last year’s winner, Gavi. Xavi Simons finished sixth, Alejandro Baldé seventh, Antonion Silva eighth, Rasmus Hojlund ninth and RC Lens’ Elye Wahi tenth.
