Monaco predicted XI v Lyon: Vanderson and Aleksandr Golovin suspended

AS Monaco will be without Vanderson and Aleksandr Golovin, both of whom have received one-match suspensions when Olympique Lyonnais visit the Stade Louis II on Friday night.

Vanderson is suspended after receiving a red card for two yellows against Stade Rennais last week, whilst Golovin is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Whilst the latter will almost certainly be replaced by Krépin Diatta, the latter’s replacement is not as clear. Maghnes Akliouche could replace the Russian, alternatively, Adi Hütter could mix up the formation and play with two strikers, aligning Wissam Ben Yedder with Folarin Balogun.

Myron Boadu returned to first-team training this week, but the match against Lyon comes too soon for the Dutch forward. Eliesse Ben Seghir, meanwhile, is making good progress in his recovery from shoulder surgery, but he will not play again until 2024.

Monaco likely lineup v Lyon

Philipp Köhn; Mohammed Salisu, Guillermo Maripán, Wilfried Singo; Ismail Jakobs, Denis Zakaria, Youssouf Fofana, Krépin Diatta; Takumi Minamino, Maghnes Akliouche; Folarin Balogun.
