Celta Vigo have confirmed that Luis Campos no longer works for the club. The Portuguese sporting consultant’s focus is now firmly on Paris Saint-Germain.
It had been reported by Le Parisien in mid-December that Campos’ collaboration with Celta Vigo could come to an end. Campos began his work with the La Liga side at the request of president Carlos Mouriño. Whilst the pair have always shared a good relationship, the latter has handed over control of the club to his daughter, Marián Mouriño. This change of hands led both parties to consider their future.
The La Liga side have opted to have a full-time sporting director, putting an end to their collaboration with Campos. The termination of their collaboration has been confirmed, with the La Liga club expressing their gratitude towards Campos. As a result, the Portuguese sporting consultant’s focus is now firmly on PSG. Campos is focused on the upcoming January transfer window. Gabriel Moscardo and Lucas Beraldo are both set to be confirmed as PSG players in the coming days.
