Monaco’s Breel Embolo hoping to feature before end of season

AS Monaco’s Breel Embolo (26), who suffered an ACL injury before the start of the season, is hoping to feature again this season, according to his manager Adi Hütter.

Embolo, who struggled with a knee injury towards the end of last season, suffered an ACL injury during pre-season. The period of unavailability was not specified at the time, however, the Swiss international was expected to miss the majority of the season, if not the entirety of it.

However, speaking in a pre-match press conference, attended by Get French Football NewsHütter revealed that Embolo is hoping to feature for the Principality club this season. “He is on the right path and in a good mood. After this kind of injury, you never know if it will be seven, eight or nine months. He is hoping to come back in March or April. Breel is special, but we have to be careful with this kind of injury. He is working a lot with the medical staff,” said Hütter on Wednesday.
